From your questions it sounds as if you are assuming that anyone who experiences something paranormal wants to have that experience... ...So...I did not want these things to take place and I even wrote them off as nothing unusual for a period of time, until it was clear that it WAS unusual.

I have to agree... my story is so similar to Chris's.
Our 'company' always smelled like sweet perfume. I'd know when she'd enter a room the smell would come in and my cat would run out. She used to turn the stove on at night - I'd come down in the morning and various burners would be lit - I made the mistake of leaving a pot of tea steeping once - she turned the burner on full blast I woke to a kitchen full of smoke. Oddly, when we moved in the counter near the stove was already burned, as though the stove was left on under a pot on high - this was the same burner spot the pot of tea was on.
So... with all that said... aren't you just a little fascinated?

Most people that actively become "ghost hunters" have had similar experiences that made them curious. Very few people say, "I'm bored, let's see if we can find a ghost somewhere." lol

1. I think the fascination with ghost is that we don't know if there are any or not. It's not proven to be real in some eyes.
2. I have gotten scared and like hiden but I was younger, lately I've been more curious with the ghosts that I may have seen. I want to know why they are here and if they need anything so that they can move on.
3. um, be scared very scared! Hopefully get away and get a priest or something!
4. Pure Evil, um I think that we think that we know but pure evil is something different to each and everyone of us. So I can only answer for myself, I would have to say that pure evil to me is something that may kill or hurt my kids or myself.
5. I disagree, I think that they thikbut in the time that they died, they don't think in our time.
6. I'd want a visit from a dead person becouse only becouse i'd want someone from my family or close friend. so I can ask questions and find out what happened. Or maybe a murdered person, so I can find out their murderer so that they can move on and finally live in peace wherever that may be.
7. maybe becouse they had died for a reason and they cannot move from that spot before the truth is out there.
8.I agree but also disagree, I would want to be able to like want them around so that I can help them in their process but then when I'm getting naked I wouldn't want a ghost to like see me undress.
9. I think that there is a time when you dont' and a time when you do. Likeif you let it run your life then there is a problem but if you do it moderatly then there should be no problem.
10. I think that for me it's becouse there has been some kind of proof of ghosts and well anything unknown is a curious thing to want to figure out.
11. I'm not sure maybe fromthe beginning of time.
12. Since at this time right now i don't actually belive in God I can't say that it's God that is doing that particular job, but there is something thatis controling it.
13. I think that they go to another life and just keep on going.

I totally agree with you, there was something particularly wierd about that. But I wouldn't worry about it unless it's hurting you or bothering you or daughter.

Exactly. The interest is prompted by some experience or event, not just an off the top of the head idea.
Exactly. The interest is prompted by some experience or event, not just an off the top of the head idea.
1. The fascination is that of the unknown. We like to try to find explanations of things we don't understand so we don't fear them.
2. Encountering an entity doesn't necessarily have a particular purpose or intent. It's also not likely to be confirmed as communication with them is still a barrier.
3. How would we tell if it's evil? We'd have to know the intent, which isn't likely (see #2)
4. Evil is a label that some use..and not even a universal one at that. Good vs. Evil comes from the pre-Christian cultures that we absorbed by some religions, including Christianity. Many simply use positive and negative (or creative and destructive forces) - neither of which is given a value. They are just many forces in balance with each other.
5. We have no way to confirm or deny the ability of the dead to think. We could simply be in different dimensions or levels of awareness.
6. Presumably, the reason the dead would visit could fall into any number of reason that would probably match why other living beings visit us.
7. We, as living entities, like the familiar settings. We can develop a sentimentality around where we like being and what we are used to. Why couldn't that apply to those once living?
8. I don't think we have to fear everything. Besides, it's not like we all interact with the dead on a regular basis.
9. Focussing on any one topic can be unhealthy. However, it's o.k. to consider what the other world is like...and I wouldn't necessarily rule out a way to be discovered eventually to measure or possibly even contact those who have passed on. Although, I would rule out use of OUIJA boards. That is not a safe practice. (long story)
10. I also think the fascination with the dead also ties into our relationships we have. After someone dies, we can still miss, think about and love those who have passed on...just as there can be negative feeling towards those who have died too.
11. I'd guess that speculation around the dead being around us is tied into ancestral worship of some cultures....and maybe even as early as when mankind began burying their dead with supplies, weapons and food..which would point to hundreds of thousands of years in our awareness as people.
12. Who is guiding the dead? I would hope someone with more leadership skills than the political system we have in the living world.
13. I don't believe the dead specifically return to see the living. It might be as simple as being in a place that they liked or have good memories about.
14. Questions are good. Answers, however, may not be as readily available...Sometimes, it comes down to hunches, speculation and theory based on observations. I think it's important to not assume things either. Sometimes in the eagerness to reach conclusions, we try to fill in the information gaps with things that may not even apply to other worlds.
just my 2 cents
