Trance from a variety of artists - usually labels like "Best of Trance, Volume XXX". Trance is for dancing, and has a beat between 128 and 142 bpm - perfect for elliptical, spinning, jogging, etc. I use a Blackberry, PocketPC or CD player - doesn't matter to me as long as I have my Trance.

Just search on Trance music - am sure something will come up. Sometimes lately it's referred to as dance remix. Can find some free on MySpace from indendent artists. Search for artists like Taucher and Tiesto. It's a great beat for working out. Hope that helps.

Found some good music and music video's on YouTube. I like to listen to some of Madonna's and Katy Perry's music, and the videos are sometimes interesting, too. ;^) I use a Blackberry Curve with MicroSD storage card.
A good, free legal music site to download is SpiralFrog.com.
Cheers,
Brady

Music really helps to motivate me. I like to listen to AC/DC when I am lifting weights. When I am running or walking I like to listen to more fast paced, up-beat feel good music. Ita amazing how much faster the workout goes when you add music.

I can barely get thru my work out without my Ipod. Music helps my to 'focus', since I have to deal with a lot of joint pains from having Lupus. It magically distract me from feeling the pain. I'm almost falling into a 'meditating' mode.

I can't get through a workout without my iPod. Period. I have too much going on in my life and can no longer "shut off the noise in my brain" without assistance.
Music not only helps me focus but allows me to tap into energy that I can't typically access.
Similar to Bridget - I almost get into a trance like state where I am only focused on lifting weights and nothing else - nothing. I don't "chat" with people - I am there to work. It is a beautiful, simple feeling.
That said even though I just turned 42 - I listen to nothing but hard rock and metal when I am at the gym.
