Had to be in the late 80's. In the early 70's I lived just north of the East end of the Northernmost runway.
Was that the old airport...or the one that used to be the airforce base (current one)?

through the years at work ,I got to meet all sorts of folks,Astronauts,Race car drivers and owners,Jesse Owens,Stephen Forbes ect. They always seemed like just folks to me. Only once did someone Move me and it was not for the good for either of us
I had taken the wife and Kids to gettysburg Pa. for a day trip. Somehow Ted Turner and Jane Fonda got stuck in the same room. Of course others started a commotion causing me and the kids to get moved around and separated which scared the hell out of me. Someone said there is Jane Fonda,which I replied in a angry tone I dont give a f**k about Hanoi Jane.the room went silent.
that was not a proud moment ,it was a shameful statement totally not needed and very wrong .How do You apologize for that.although I don't care for her politics nobody deserves to be treated that way, So Jane ,I'm Sorry
