The early bird can have the worm as far as I'm concerned. I am not a morning person I am more of a night owl. Although these days I do struggle past midnight.

I am a bit of a mix too, up till midnite most nites, or later, but end up waking up early most mornings too, even when I could sleep in. So, I have learned, over the years, to just go with the flow, sleep when I can, & enjoy both, the quiet mornings, & the quiet that late night offers....(Lucky me, I am a homebody now, & can get away with this, use to make it really hard when I was working!)

Since I rarely go to sleep before 4 or 5 a.m. and the most I sleep is 3 hrs.......have to say night owl, all energy seems to be gone by 4 or 5 pm and have to rest to gear up for rest of night.

I used to be like a morning bird, early to rise and early to bed.. If you wanted to have my attention, it was best in the morning... then life happened and I became an owl: I liked the night... I was at my brightest in the evening... Then life kept on happening... and now, I like to sleep in and go to bed early... which means.... if you want to have my attention, take me out to lunch!!! Just kidding... I am a morning person, but I can stay up all night if I have something interesting to do..;.

When my children were young I was very much a morning person. I needed the quiet, alone time in order to prepare for the day. But as I grew older my body clock had an attack like the ones in the cartoons and I was neither, which is a terrible, terrible state of mind. Now I am trying to work hard at returning to my mornings, they are so lovely.
