I hope you have a great time, Coral.
We try and do that a few times/year. With 4 young kids, it's really necessary in keeping the romance alive.
We went to Italy for a week for our 15th wedding anniversary in June. It was fantastic!! (But believe it or not, I did miss my kids!)

Hey you're back! I take it everything went as planned? Had a blast?
We hit a Renaissance festival today, which was a lot of fun, but a bit overcrowded. I just wanted to hand out soap and towels to a LOT of people :P The weather was perfect. We get one more "extra play day" tomorrow. I can't wait! :P

Yes, we had a blast! It was such a treat to take off our Mom/Dad hats and leisurely do whatever WE wanted whenever WE wanted to. We went out to eat and watched TV in our birthday suits... Well, we were celebrating our birthdays, so of course we had to dress appropriately. *wink*

That sounds Great! My husband & I are planning to escape for the weekend also & get away from the everyday distractions. Family, friends, the children, phone, TV and the computer.. Cross your fingers everything goes as planned and say a prayer for us. Things like this don't usually get off the ground very well, lately.
