Jaki, gratitude, for being brave and speaking out here! Yes,I also miss some regular tbder's who have left, such as Mariposa, Obi-Wan,lupita, lost, and IntoLevis. Some who aren't on much lately, have other, recent priorities, like dissertions and school work, new, full-time jobs, family obligations, etc.
However, your points regarding the homoginized, cleaned up home page were valid. It is harder to find some interesting, more adult-oriented threads. Tbd was never intended for childrens' eyes. It was created as a forum for us fellow Boomers to share, beeaaach, laugh, cry, teach, learn, and grow together, as online friends.

I wondered why I had not seen Mariposa, and some others, recently. It's too bad they left. People could always sent invites to people they felt would be interested in their discussion. There must be some way of letting them know. Is it possible that TBD is working on something?
I also know some people who have cut down because of real life events.

I completely agree with you Jaki*..and not because your so easy to "get buzzed on Frog Juice" ...rather your words ring home and are so true ! The front page has been sterilized.
And Yes ..I have seen some regular TBD'rs leaving that were "daily visitors". I did a review of my friends list and have found people hot posting anymore. When they are gone for two or three weeks at a time, I can only believe they have "split"...
Thanks for putting up these much needed words.
"""gee .. now if only TBD would scarp the crapping website operating software and graduate from Kindergarten to "Real Live Professional Grade software", it would be a thrill.!!! Unfortunately TBD is EXTREMELY unstable and very buggy and even though I absolutely love the site ..The software TOTALLY SUCKS and this is also the poorest grade forum site I have ever been a member of..! I mean shit ..the spell checker would never win a Spelling Bee ...!
So there we have it ...a fantastic Boomer Forum with mandated parental controls and site software that sucks..!
Oh weelllll ....drink's are on me ..Froggy Juice - n - Goose ..!!

Thank you all for your agreement and support. Perhaps the powers that be will rethink the sillyness of sex-free front pages on an adult site.
I think we can all remember it is OK to talk about penises, but not show pictures of them. Even plastic ones. Boobies, etc., too... same deal.
IMHO, This is America, we can govern ourselves, and monitor our own behaviors as far as keeping prying eyes off the screen.
Gayle, the idea of sending invites is fine, but I would LOVE to be able to send ONE email to a list of recipients WITHIN tbd without leaving and going into my own email and emailing the people I am that close to. For instance, you would still miss out because we have not traded email addresses, therefore ot of sheer laziness, well, you see where this is going. I have to send each one of my 50 or so friends an "PM" individually and that is just rinky dink crap.
Now pass the booze. I need a stiffy. Drink, that is!

Yes I agree that there should be an easier way to do it. Even with the changes announced today it will still be difficult. I know TBD is trying to work on problems, but it makes me wish my brother was the software architect for TBD (he already has a great job), plus I don't want him to know my thoughts. Oh well, I won't be giving up the friends I've gained here, so I guess I have to put up with all the quirks of using tbd.
