Oh Witchy I am so sorry to hear that you were sick, and needed surgery, and can't make it. You will be missed, as will Lance.

I am going sighteseeing on Friday, and may just make it to the Marriott around 6 or a little after, the sightseeing will have been long over but the MetroLift requires long travel & wait times. This is on par with service of such types of transit pretty much everywhere.

I will be around every evening from the 13 to the 17th, I am going to the theatre on the 18th. If anyone wants to join me on one of my jaunts they are more than welcome.

GatorGal Thank you so much for getting my tickets for me. That is such a big help, and as long as they are at the hotel by Thursday,it means I can sightsee on Friday (which I think is one of the most interesting sounding days).

I'm sitting at a public laptop with people in line behind me, waiting for their shot at a couple minutes of internet fix, so I'll be quick, but:

OH Witchy!!!! Burning desire and appendix do NOT sound like a fun mix (actually surgery never sounds fun... hope you get less sore SOON LanSr... You know, they say that women used to wear girdles to forget about how tight their shoes were.... maybe you can play one pain off against the other?)

As we passed mine and Gayle's hotel I told my advisor: That's where you are dropping me off. "Oh, I'm dropping you off?" He was only half kidding, he'd forgotten that he'd suggested it....

We'll worry about shirts when we get there. I'll likely be at the hotel before Gayle gets back, so we may have to play it by ear.

Thanks Prunella. I will be in airports, or planes, most of Thursday, I get into Houston at 4pm, so a quick run to the grocery for some snacks & such, and I can spend the rest of the night inside. I do hope that it stops before Friday though.
