    Cooking at 4 a.m.?

RE cooking at 4 in the morning; people do work all kinds of flexible schedules anymore, so making breakfast (or supper?) at that hour really isn't very unusual. However - goes to show, you cannot leave food on the stove even for "just a minute," because that's all the time it takes for a fire to get started. And I have to wonder if they did have a working smoke detector because many of us have had the experience of our smoke detectors going off even if we're just cooking and nothings' burning! Whatever happened in this incident, my sympathies are with the victim and his family.
