I actually tend to agree with Betsy to a point. I am a huge fan of Michelle and have enjoyed watching her succeed in journalism due to her talents and incredible stories. She, in my early 20s slang, is killing it. Did her appearance help 'woo' me. Dang right. But there are a million more attractive females out there (no offense Ms Fields). Why aren't they making headline news with their investigative journalism? Cause Ms. Fields has talent. But to ignore the power an attractive female has on an average male's ability to stay interested on subjects as boring as economic theory would be ignorant. I know I'd rather be watching a female with a low(er) cut shirt than a female in sweatpants. But I'd also rather watch a man in a sharp suit than a dude wearing his frat t shirt with beer spilled down the front. It's TV. Appearance matters. So do I think Michelle Fields is immodest? Eh kinda. I would not call her attire scandalous but I'd be a little hesitant to see my sister wearing something similar. I know how us guys think. But in the end it's up to Michelle Fields. She decides what she wears with full knowledge of the haters and supporters will say. And Michelle if you're curious to see if an unattractive female can make it in journalism just look at Rachel Maddow. Ugh.
I'm glad someone has looped in this story which has been getting plenty of media coverage with the months of attacks Betsy and Fishbowl DC have been waging against Fields. They've picked apart her twitter feed and private facebook page to find any amount of dirt they can on her, and it's disgusting. Thanks for discussing it. Betsy sickens me. She's a bitter, vindictive woman.
