Tagging and Graffiti are not art. A bored little punk that doodles in class instead of paying attention, and finds out they can make bubbly letters. Yup, they're real cool.
There are some beautiful art work/graffiti on the red line and I, for one, enjoys reading them. They make my commute much more colorful. I really doubt they'll be able to erase them all and I hope they don't!!
Used to ride the Red Line regularly, and I remember a particularly nice graffiti at Brookland that showed up just two days after Michael Jackson's death that saluted the musician. Will also miss seeing Disco Dan's tags!
