Who Says It First?

Does anyone have a comment on this? Any opinions? I'm curious what the general consesus is.

I think when you love someone you should say it, and say it often, no matter male or female. You never know how much time you have together.

btsbetty, I think that the guys would say it first in the majority of instances. Most gals seem wary about exposing their hearts that might be refused.

I don't think there's any set rule for who should say it first, but either way, it doesn't really matter as long as love is in the air.

Happy Days, I think you are right about exposing our hearts. Is it easier for a man to expose his? I guess I've always wondered about that.

I'm currently at that place in a relationship wondering who might be saying it first. I wonder if he feels that way yet .. and I'm just feeling the inklings myself.

They are such powerful words.

I tend to say it first about 50% of the time and have always regretted it.

If a man ever finds me attractive again and we fall for each other, it will be with a man who is not afraid to tell me he loves me first.

These men who won't say, "I love you" are men that I have found untrustworthy in many different ways and my time with them was truly a waste.

The one who feels that there's so much love that it spills over, verbally.

I believe we as women work off our emotions a lot more than men, and we tend to tell them we love them a lot easier and faster than they tell us.
