Near Death Experiences?

Has anyone had these? Maybe your life's flashed infront of your eyes...?

My life 'flashed before my eye's' twice; both times occurred during inconsequential events. The first was so inconsequential, I dont even remember it. The second time I was driving down the highway in heavy (but fast) traffic, but it was not threatening or anything.

I wonder if these events have ever been (satisfactorily) reproduced in laboratory situations. (Keep in mind that I am not suggesting that this negates their spiritual viability. The two are NOT necessarily mutually exclusive.)

I've had several remarkable and breathtaking dreams about being dead. I can say categorically, that nothing compares to these dreams. (This is not necessarily a sign of spirituality either. I could just be 'insane'.)

Wha are your thoughts and/or experiences with this? How has it changed the way that you live your life?

You have had two near-death experiences, and several dreams of being dead. But, is it possible for anyone to actually envision or dream about the final moments of dying or their actual moment of death? I think not.

Even though I don't know what I believe about the life after death of the spirit or soul, when my father died I had undeniable proof that there is an out-of-body spiritual occurence emanating from the corpse at the moment of death. And that it is very beautiful.

Actually, the subject of NDE's can be one that is very pleasant to discuss. People who have had them report marvelous experiences. Personally, the anecdotes of those experiences fill me with peace.

It's peculiar that we, as a society, we wait to consider the subject of 'death' until it absolutely can not wait any longer. 'Death' offers many opportunities for growth, compassion and enlightenment, especially once it is divorced from fear. The opposite of 'life', after all, is 'non-exsistance', not 'death'. Respectfully,

I'm kind of torn on this one. Having been declared 'table dead' after suffering a major bleed, I have very vivid memories of the experience. What people call the 'light', was not exactly a 'light', however, with our language being so limited, I understand why people call it that. I recall an awareness that "this was it, time to go". I resisted, because my love for my small children was stronger than that gravitational pull. As I said, this was very vivid and no...I no longer fear dying.

However, I also remember Harpo Marx driving a little car up my body and parking on my chest, shouting "I'm not silent, you're just deaf!"

I haven't quite fit that part into the picture yet.
