I just read that sales of Spam, that quasi-meat, are up due to high price of food and all. I don't have any in my cupboard . . . yet. So how do you like your Spam? With eggs? Grilled? Fried? You can carve neat things out of it--I once went to a Spam carving contest. Any good Spam recipes out there?

Do you remember Monty Python's skit about Spam? With the Vikings saying Spam Spam Spam Spam!

this is a true thing:

Spamalot, a musical lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail. on broadway, as we speak, er, type.

I grew up on Spam...fried with ketchup or with a fried egg on top, Spam hash, Spam sandwiches, sauteed Spam cubes and cabbage over egg noodles. Mom worked, we had no money, and she hated to cook. I spend several weeks a year in Maui. Go into any market and there will probably be an entire half aisle of nothing but Spam. Some restaurants there serve it up, too. Spam Masubi is a sushi with Spam instead of raw fish.
