I guess if you framed the discussion as "best things about being single for a boomer" I would say: dating without the pressure of a biological timeclock. But that's not really what you asked....

There are lots of fun lists out there on the internet... I didnt date for over three years till the start of this one and really enjoyed being single and not having to put up with anyone elses b.s. I really thought I was just going to stay single. so now turning 40 and getting engaged came as a big shock to me. but heres a list of what i loved about it. 1. half as much laundry to do 2. no one to tell me i loaded the dishwasher wrong. 3. my money is all mine 4. no one snores or at least I dont hear it, im sleeping 5.i no longer need a remote control i can watch only one show instead of 4 at a time. 6. theres no one there to leave the seat up. 7.now that the beer is out of the fridge theres room for food. 8 if i do something really stupid no ones there to see it and tell everyone else. 9.if i put goodies in the fridge there always there when i go back for them. 10. no one messes up my checkbook but me.
