Have you heard of Fibromyalgia?

The reason I ask is that most people suffer with Fibromyalgia for 5 or years more, with countless Doctor and Emergency Room visits before someone tells them what they have.(with me it took over 10)

They loose countless jobs, family, and friends cause everyone after a while believes there lazy and its all

in there head. after all the doctors didnt find anything.

I often went into doctors not able to feel my fingers or a leg hurting so bad for weeks at a time I could hardly walk. or my back hurting so bad i couldnt stand up .Doctors would just look at me and say what is it this time.

Id get told I probibly piched a nerve or pulled a muscle. asked if i turned or twisted wrong or fell. time after time. Id ask them to look more into it i believed there was a real problem. I would get told to take a couple advil. Them probibly thinking I was looking for drugs.

At one point I had taken my daughter in for her shots the nurse looked at me and said you dont look so good. and she put a blood presure cuff on me. didnt say a word to me before turning around and saying we need to get this girl to the er. blood presure at 240/165. and because it was so high i was leaking blood to my brain.I was told I needed to watch my blood presure. I told them over and over if you find out what causes all my muscle problems you'll find out whats causing my blood presure to go up.

I spent three weeks in the hospital and no one looked past my blood presure saying it can cause achs and pains.

Finally after moving to anouther state, I woundering into doctors office feeling about the way i did when my bloodpresure was so high, he looked at me and said wow you have a large chart.

This time I wasnt going to sit still and have anouther one notice that and send me home with advil. He was about to send me home with nothing more then a renewed blood pressure perscription.I got angry, I stood up glaring at him and said for once one of you is going to listen.you noticed the size of my chart. are you going to be one more to just ignore theres a problem till the next time I bleed to my brain or maybe it kills me?

He put me in the er and they started running tests, found my RH factor was extreamly high for someone my age or any age. and that it looked like i had fibromyalgia or maybe rheumatoid Artitis. at this point we now seem to feel its a combination of both.

The reason I wanted to share my story is i know theres lots of others out there, that just arnt

finding any answers that may be going thro the same things. and maybe with this bit of information.

if it sounds like something you or a friend is dealing with we can get one more person a little help

a little sooner then 5 years down the line.

sorry about all the gaps and spaces im not typing that way not sure why it keeps happening.and id be real happy if i could get the spell checker to stop timming out. but it maybe my slow dsl acting up.

I've had fibro for about twenty years, and frankly, you didn't list a single symptom that has anything to do with it. It sounds as if your doctors don't know what they're talking about. I do hope you get help for your problems because they sound much more serious than fibro.

what she said. the numb fingers suggests something neurological. might just be a (chronic, recurring) pinched nerve prob, might be something much more serious.

ra diagnosis is pretty uncomplicated and definitive.

i'd advise you make sure you have a competent doc who can figure out how to point you to the relevant specialists.

soon.

well there is a lot more symptoms that i have that are on the list. in fact i can go thro the pages about fibro and and pretty much check most of them off as saying yup, got that one. I was trying not to write a book.

but i can add lots of migrains irritable bowl syndrom, sensativiity to medications. muscle

twicting and spasms, wide spread muscle pain. and spending anytime doing things that are repetitive causes pain or numbness. been to rhuematogists. neurolgiests, and so on. from that point on this isnt something i just found out about yesterday this is something I was told I had 5 years ago and have been to meny for second opinions.

each case is never the same as and very so much from one to anouther anouther and symtoms are so wide spread, and thats why they have a hard time detecting it.

and im not saying its linked to my blood presure, but the stress it caused on my body was. you may not have understood about them telling me it was pinched nerves my point was it wasnt pinched nerves or causing them,my point was they didnt want to take the time to look for real answers. id go in with limbs hurting so bad, i nearly felt as if I broke something, or torn muscles after doing nothing at all. to cause such pain.

First off the first syptom of fibro is cronic pain. mentioned. I ment to upload this picture before oops did i mention brain fog forgot.

hopefully the photo uploaded.

now as far as back pain it falls right in line with these pretty little red marks on the lower back. that shows the fibro presure points.

my legg pain often burning pain that extended down from my thigh to about the knees. pretty much inline with the lower set of red dots. now the pinched nerves they always tryed to tell me I was having, normally in my shoulders extending down my arms. about matching up with the pretty little dots that go from the bottom of your neck to the ones reaching around your elbows.

this chart can be found on almost any fibro web site.

looks as if the intire picture isnt showing up, but i think it makes my point

sunspot ty for the links and not dubting that i know what im talking about but trying to help,

the main thing i was trying to do was bring awarness

to anyone that may have been going thro cronic pain for years with no answers, figuring maybe they would look into it with there doctors and see if that may or not be there problem, after all, theres a lot of people out there that have never heard of it enless they have it or have a friend with it, and its linked to so meny other disorders that its often missed.
