I have had it!

I have had a half dozen robo calls tonight. I say "hello" and give them the count to one and then hang up. They all say "out of the area." I tried blocking anonymous calls. It doesn't work. This is a great argument for getting rid of your home phone and using just a cell phone. I am so D--- sick and tired of this election! I am so D--- sick and tired of this do-nothing government. I am so D--- sick and tired of the perennial electioning, posturing, nasty politicians! I want this whole government to go away and start new. I say we vote them all out of office. Every last incumbent. We need to make a statement about how we feel. We need to stop letting them get away with this. I'm not voting for a single incumbent. Not one. Let's turn over the government. I don't care what party. Vote them out!

That happens with the phone at times. It took years for one of them to stop. We also had a caller determined to find someone who didn't live here. It's a nuisance.

Thank you, youngbraveheart! I feel better. I wish this could become a national movement. But we all know better.

just turn the freaking phone off. Just use the cell. Then if you get a voice message. You can respond if you knoe the number/person. Or get caller ID on the house phone.

I have children in Denver and Connecticut. I am Director of Case Management for the Disabled and Elderly. I can't turn off my phone, I do have caller ID. Some of us have to keep our phones on for emergencies. We need to be notified at home. Life isn't as simple as it sounds.

They all say "out of the area."

If no number appears with the caller ID "Out of Area," you are almost certain going to get a telemarketer, robo message, or the like. If a number does appear with the message, it will most likely be a cellular caller calling from outside your area code or their home coverage area. In either case, just don't answer it 'cuz it's gonna get worse as election day approaches.

And yes, I agree, vote for change!

Boy, I hear you on this one!

We get two calls a day with different numbers coming up on the caller ID from the warranty division at Dodge. The recording always says, "This is your final notification...." yet they call twice a day and have been doing this for six months. Usually I just hang up. Yesterday I pressed the number to get a representative, asked her if we could be removed from their call list--that if we were interested in extending the warranty, we'd have already done it. She hung up on me!

Our primary election was last week and the phone is much quieter for the moment without all the political phone calls. I am sure they'll pick up as the general election approaches but it is nice to have it not ringing so much now.
