Homicide by Intoxicated Use of Motor VehiclePosted: Jun 5, 08 7:10pmIf found guilty what do you think this woman's penalty should be? This article was printed in the Marshfield paper and did not have the AP copyright at the bottom so hopefully ok to paste here. ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Two teens who just graduated from high school and worked at an area restaurant died when a car driven by a suspected drunken driver crashed into their vehicle at an intersection, authorities said Wednesday. Lt. Jody Crocker of the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department said the 45-year-old De Pere woman driving the Porsche Boxster that struck the other car had been cited for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, although no formal charges had been filed according to computerized state court records. She remained hospitalized with injuries. The two who died at the scene were identified as Talhia Heroux, 18, of Brussels and Ashley Britsch-Knetzger, 19, of Green Bay, co-workers at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Heroux graduated Sunday from Southern Door High School, where she had been involved in pep and concert bands. Britsch-Knetzger graduated May 24 from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, where she was on the tennis team, and she planned to study nursing in the fall at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. “Ashley was helping at the school Tuesday for summer tennis camp with young girls,” Principal Paul Hartwig said. “She was a solid kid. It’s very tragic.” Crocker said the De Pere woman was driving at a high rate of speed when her southbound car ran into the victims’ eastbound Buick as it crossed the intersection near Bay Park Square Mall about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
