I was sad to see this headline today:

Mamas and Papas Member Dead at 66

Mama Cass died ignominiously in a hotel room at the age of 30; John Phillips died at 65 a few years ago, now Denny Doherty. I am not musical enough to know which of these songs featured his music, but in tribute to Mama Cass, John Phillips and Denny Doherty...a short playlist.

So, here's a fun exercise: How many bands of the 1960s (and maybe even the '70s and '80s) could potentially still reunite with all the original members? That list is gettin' smaller and smaller, eh?

Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Cream form the '60's, to name just a few.
