Age you started dyeing your hair? Do you do it yourself?

I really had to think about this because I was asked this weekend by my daughter....umm I "believe" about 35.....I do it myself, way to frugal to let a hair dresser do it.....

My wife started dyeing her hair about 15 years ago. She asked me to help her one day, and I've been dyeing her hair ever since; about 10 years now.

But don't tell anyone. It's a secret.

My wife has been for years. Dye will never touch mine. That's just me. I could care less.

Gawd, you cook, you drive, you mix drinks, you do naughty things, AND now this. You're absolutely killin' me. Should a gal be so lucky!?!

I dyed my hair in my teens and twenties...dyed it colors normally not found in nature. The thirties I tried to go au naturale. At the start of the forties, after seeing a picture of myself in my thirties, I promptly went to a salon and have been dyeing ever since.

I have been highlighting it for years. Now color is being added to cover some of the gray. Being short, everyone sees the top of my head. :-(

Since as long as I remember, but more religiously after 48. The grays pop up, so I keep popping them down. On another thread earlier, I had posted that it was a matter of personal preference. Some women like the salt & pepper appearance. I am not so fond of it on myself. There are better products now which don't leave you looking like you have a felt tip pen head. (Ignore my profile picture. My hair is actually real looking, not like a felt tip pen.) Stop staring now. It's just a profile picture. It's not a photograph.

I'm taller and thinner than the Karensk in the profile. And less unkempt.

Stop staring! Quit looking for roots!

I'll bet the men see much lower at first.

Men don't care if a woman has grey, women care, but men don't.

So women dye their hair to look younger to other women.
