Arbonne and other Networking Marketing businesses

Hi All!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about network-marketing. I have decided to be a consultant with Arbonne and I'm looking for the best ways to make this business work for me. With my full-time job keeping me away from home 50+ hours a week, and sharing custody of a three year old, I don't have a whole lot of time. I decided to host several "parties" at my house with hopes of branching out. Anyone who has done a home-based business such as this, please share your success stories and your "hindsight" stories. I have seen these businesses work for people, and I know the products are good, so if there is anyone with any experience in this field, I would LOVE to hear from you.

Thanks so much!

Michele

Michele,

While I am not a Network Marketing Expert, I have been an entrepreneur my entire life, and networking is the key word.

You have to let Michele's World know you are in this business. Hosting parties is a good start, and also keep an eye out for marketing opportunities with you kids schools etc. Sponsoring little things now and then for name recognition is good.

Now for my little advice, that I may get beaten up a little for. Be EXTRA careful about how you market your side work at your primary job. There may be rules against your being able to. Check with the HR dept.

Also use what Arbonne can give you to its fullest extent, especially any tips and tricks that other Reps (in non competing markets) can give you. The main thing is its all about getting out there, and letting people know you rep the stuff. You do have high quality product (I have used the Mens stuff for years).

Most of all, good luck! And dont worry about people saying no. They may not buy your products, but always ask for a referral.

Yes, perhaps a little bit.

You can succeed in Network marketing. It is a tough sell. If you are not succeeding one of two things is not happening. 1. Sponsoring people and 2. selling products.

I spent ten years in a marketing company and was the public speaker at many of the hotel introduction meetings and some of the larger seminars.

First off, the meetings are usually cash generating "fund raisers". Once the room is paid, there is cash left over for the head guru and speaker to split. This may or may not happen with you.

The bigger seminars are much of the same, except the money can be bigger because the head count is bigger, and there is usually a bigger fee for the larger seminars.

The major seminars, even more so with cost and head count. These large regional meetings can be held at big venues. We have been in the Georgia Dome, places like that. This is where you'll see all the Zig Ziglar's and Rita Davenport type motivational people.

I had achieved a large measure of success. The reason I did not continue was fraud. Beware of "tools" scams. This is the tapes and book clubs you may be asked to join.

Some of the "tools" end of the business is nothing more than maintaining the lifestyle of your "upline" at your expense. Beware.

You can make it. Do your dudiligence before proceeding. The network marketing business has taught me how to sell. It was sure a lot of fun. I just would never, ever do that again. Even at the time I could not, just like now get excited about any product. Products do nothing for this bloak.

Good fortune.

Do you want to find a healthy way to care for your skin and protect it from the environment? Then you need to know about the Arbonne skin care. It is formulated in Switzerland and is made in the United States. There are many different types of products available. The great thing about the Arbonne skin care is that it is made so that babies, young children, teens and adults can use it.

Hi Michele! First of all - congrats! You picked a great company - I am a wholesale customer and have used the product since I was 34 - people always say I don't look my age! :) I tell them about Arbonne!!

I am also in a network marketing company tho ours is more heavily party plan than Arbonne is. I am involved with the Direct Selling Women's Alliance and I strongly recommend you get involved as well! There is a link under my picture on my homepage:

http://www.funfelt.com

They have 2 teleclasses a week from network marketing experts from around the world - top notch training in an hour! If you can't make them, they archive them for members to download to your ipod. I listen to them daily on my walks!

They also have article libraries, conventions, and local chapter meetings. We had our national convention in April in Las Vegas and the keynotes were from Klemmer and Associates (www.klemmer.com) and Jack Canfield (www.jackcanfield.com) and Marcia Wieder (www.dreamcoach.com) Just superior training along with breakout sessions. It's fantastic!

If you have a local chapter (find out on the website) go to the meetings. I am the President of the one in my area and for only $15 you cat support, networking, and usually a professional speaker/trainer for an hour or so. It's fantastic!

I'd also encourage you to do whatever it is that your company tells you to do as far as training - do not reinvent the wheel, they've already figured it all out!

It basically boils down to calling the people and seeing the people. Your business is not open unless your mouth is. Since you work full time (and then some) that may mean only 1 phone call a day but imagine if you made 1 phone call a day consistently for 20 or 30 days a month. Even if only 1 out of 10 is a "yes" you would grow your business quickly on a very part time basis.

Best of luck to you and let me know if I can help in any other way! You're in good company! :)

My sister-in-law is in Arbonne and is doing great. They got her a new Mercedes and makes a 4 figure monthly income. The biggest problem I have had is getting customers so I got involved with a company that does infomercials and you can buy customers. That way I dont have to bother friends and family. But Arbonne is a great company. http://needincome.net

Much of this thread violates TBD's community guidelines. It is fine to share information about a company, to help others with your experience. It is not fine to just promote a product to the audience. I am leaving Robert 123's post as an example of what is NOT acceptable; several of the others here are borderline.
