Hmmm ... seem to have 0 friends even after inviting IowaJan (a prior friend I invited here) to be a friend. Now, I no longer have the option of inviting her (makes sense to avoid pestering), but apparently she hasn't received the request ... so neither of us have any friends. What's up?

What is the advantage to having someone as a friend, or having them publicly listed as a friend? I don't see the point of having a bunch of pictures added to one's profile page. But even now, we know that many members enjoy seeing who is linked to whom. It gives you a sense of the connections among us: the members who friend anyone, the members who friend no one, those who are selective and show friends they actually know outside of TBD, those who show friends they've met on TBD, etc. It's all good. Some people like to be connected to their online and offline friends - it's an easier way to find their posts and to send personal messages. It's also an interesting way to meet others - to see who your friends are connected to. Others just aren't as interested in that sort of stuff. Either way is fine. :) |
