Hi, All – You can now add friends to your profile!

Once added, your friends’ photos will show up in the "Friends" tab of your TeeBeeDee profile.

See my profile as an example.

How to add existing TeeBeeDee members to your profile as friends:

1. Browse or search for friends already on TeeBeeDee on the Founding Members page.

2. When you get to his or her profile, look under the photo, and click the link that reads "Add as friend"

How to invite friends who are not yet a part of TeeBeeDee:

1. Click the Invite a Friend link.

2. Add the email addresses of the people you wish to invite to TeeBeeDee in the fields, and hit "Send invitation(s)"

3. They will receive an invitation from you via email.

4. Once they accept your invitation, your photo will appear on their profile page and vice versa.

Has someone else invited you to be their friend on TeeBeeDee?

Look for invitations from others on the "Friends" tab of your own profile, or in your email.

Let me know if you have any questions - happy friend adding!

Hmmm ... seem to have 0 friends even after inviting IowaJan (a prior friend I invited here) to be a friend. Now, I no longer have the option of inviting her (makes sense to avoid pestering), but apparently she hasn't received the request ... so neither of us have any friends. What's up?

I see from your profile that you and IowaJan solved it. So glad you have joined TBD and found each other here.

There must be a trick to browsing. My friends name starts with a 'W' and the list is in alphabetical order. Is there an easier/faster method to get to the W's without tabing though to the end?

Antonio, you have read our minds. We got that feedback and are re-designing the browse experience, complete with letter tabs. Just one more month we promise!

Am I overlooking something? What is the advantage to having someone as a friend, or having them publicly listed as a friend? I don't see the point of having a bunch of pictures added to one's profile page.

Isadora, some of the advantage will become clearer as new versions of the profile and the entire TBD experience are unveiled. But even now, we know that many members enjoy seeing who is linked to whom. It gives you a sense of the connections among us: the members who friend anyone, the members who friend no one, those who are selective and show friends they actually know outside of TBD, those who show friends they've met on TBD, etc. It's all good.

Just to chime in here - the benefits of adding friends are just as varied and personal as the reasons people participate here. Some people like to be connected to their online and offline friends - it's an easier way to find their posts and to send personal messages. It's also an interesting way to meet others - to see who your friends are connected to.

Others just aren't as interested in that sort of stuff.

Either way is fine. :)
