So black, which I guess makes it the most true of them all. I wonder if the leaders in Korea, Iran and Pakistan have read it? Not to mention Bush and Cheney. Should be required reading. Resisted reading this because I like to typecast my authors and James's is one of our best mystery writers... but saw the movie with Clive Owen and now really interested in the source material. The premise is simple: it's about 20 years from now and humans have become infertile. The last baby was born about 18 years ago... But you've got to check out these classics if you haven't already: Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale George Orwell's 1984 |
