I've been finding lots of new ones, and am a big fan of eGenerations.com Share your fav... ![]() After reading a newspaper article about social networking sites for the 40-plus age group, I did a lot of exploring myself. I tried eGenerations, Multiply, and a few others, but I have to tell you that you are on my favorite site right now. When compared to the other sites I have tried, I think they have it nailed here at TeeBeeDee with combination of rich content, a classy sense of design, and a vibrant community of members and staff who all contribute regularly to lend it a depth and personality that I find lacking in the other sites I have tried. Fill out your profile and join the fun. :-) Posted: Nov 24, 07 9:22pm![]() After reading a newspaper article about social networking sites for the 40-plus age group, I did a lot of exploring myse... ![]() Upbeat, I'm with you. I have found the people on TBD to be very warm and friendly. But most of all, I enjoy the content and ease of naviagtion within the site. I've been internet surfing since about '93-'94 when the internet was nothing but bulletin boards. Fourteen years later, I find my most enjoyable sites to be 1) my own, and 2) G-o-o-g-l-e!!! I'm a very inqusitive person and always want immediate gratification for any and everything I need. Posted: Nov 24, 07 9:37pm![]() What's you favorite website? I've been finding lots of new ones, and am a big fan of eGenerations.com Share your fav... ![]() I like to believe the best of people, so I am sure it's not commercial spam that janesmith4147 has made two TBD posts in her short life (today) as a member, both promoting egenerations. Posted: Nov 24, 07 10:45pm![]() I like to believe the best of people, so I am sure it's not commercial spam that janesmith4147 has made two TBD posts in... ![]() Sigh... whereas I am cynical and jaundiced. I wish I could believe the best of people, I feel like a kid pushing his nose against the candy store window and staring at all the Norman Rockwell life inside, but my experience is to the contrary. However, Robin, I agree with you, I can see janesmith's first two posts promoting egenerations as merely coincidence, no doubt emerging like Venus from the sea from her frothy excitement at being here on TBD. I used to be a moderator (host) at a large international message board focusing on various religious, social and political issues, and the management style here is much more hands-off. I wandered over into the "Illegal Immigration in America's Biggest Problem" thread and saw ad hominem posts I would have deleted immediately and for which publically ripped said poster a new one for violating the board's guidelines. However, TBD has a higher flash point than my old board because it doesn't deal with anywhere the number of hot-button topics. That means the hand of management doesn't need to be as heavy because there's not as much potential for flame wars, outing or other message board nastiness. I'm enjoying my stay on TBD and the management style is all right by me. Like you, I believe the best in people too. I am sure it's not spam. Posted: Nov 25, 07 6:59pm![]() What's you favorite website?
