Yes, at least according to researchers from the Univ. of Pittsburg and Univ. of California Santa Barbara, and a recent article in the Chicago Tribune.
In a study of more than 16,000 women, the curvy women consistently outscored their skinnier counterparts on cognitive tests. Their kids outscored the skinny mom's kids, too.
Seems that the fat stored around the buttocks and thighs is high in omega-3 acids, which nourishes the brain. This brain/butt ratio is supposedly more about the size of the hips relative to the waist, not just the size of the rear-end.
What about us boys? Deborah, she of hour-glass figure, says I have no butt at all. Maybe that explains why her IQ is way higher than mine?
