Can it really be Christmas without snow??

Coming from 'up North" in the beautiful lower peninsula of Michigan we usually have snow for Christmas. It is lovely, it is beautiful, it is cold and it is sometimes hard to drive in . . But I have a hard time imagining Christmas without it. I would like to think that others envy us with our lovely Christmas snow. (I am pretty sure no one envies our blizzards!!) Our place does look like a Christmas postcard and I feel bad for those who do not get to experience a "white" Christmas at least once in their lifetime. Am I crazy?

We used to have more white Christmases in the Boise area than we do now. If it could snow only for Christmas then disappear that would be great! People do forget how to drive in it when we don't get very much very often.

My granddaughter in Phoenix as asking her mother just the other day when they were going to get snow. Her mother restrained herself from saying the first thing that popped into her mind: When hell freezes over.

Well, we have had some snow already that did not "stick." We have a lovely Christmas festival here--Victorian Christmas and for the parade all of the floats are horse-drawn. It is a wonderful celebration, very old fashioned and family orientated. So I always hope for a little snow for that.

People go completely nuts here when it snows. Driving, I mean. You have your speeding, sliding juggernauts duking it out with ones who won't go over 5 mph. It's like everyone gets stupid, all of a sudden. It's scary Roxley. Other than that I guess snow is nice.

Roxley, the Victorian Christmas sounds awesome. I would love to see it.

We haven't had a White Christmas here for several years,
