Have you ever held a secret only to confess later in time? Maybe days, maybe years?

Give it your best shot. Maybe someday I will publish a book called Simple Truths and your story will be a part of it.

To a friend a year after the incident: I am the one who filled your pocketbook up with the ashtrays from the bar. You remember... the time the bar owner wanted to have you arrested and you were asked to never come back. Sorry! It was only a joke. Who do you think tipped off the bartender that they were in there? :>)

I had no idea they would be so upset and not believe you.

This isn't a confession or even a complaint. But, years ago I went to a strip bar in OKC with a bunch of fellow FAA students. The women kept wanting to give me free "lap dances" and were rubbing all over me. I couldn't figure it out until just before we left one of the ladies said: "How was your first day outside?" My buddy had told everyone that I had just gotten out of prison after being locked up for 15 years. I just couldn't find it in my heart to be angry with him. :-)

When I was working in an office building with no fresh air and artificial light, our boss kept bringing plants to a coworker. And she blamed him for constantly killing the plants.

So while having a garage sale we found this fake cactus in a ceramic pot. Well I gave it to him and told him that he could redeem himself because it needed little water and wouldn't die easily.

I also informed all of our coworkers and the boss that it was fake.

Monthly he would water it; for more then a year. Another coworker would pour the water out when he wasn't around.

The boss and others were going to Europe and I wanted them to tell him via email while they were there. But we waited until we were out celebrating the bosses birthday. He never knew that it was fake.

Yes-Mom--I did have parties at the house every time you and dad went away for weekend getaways. (fessed up 30 years later).
