So I finished icing my wrist (you don't want to know), and went to look for the ziplock bag I keep the icepack in. Couldn't find it anywhere. Finally, having learned from the past, I started looking for it in the places it couldn't possibly be, and found it, with the half cantaloupe in it, in the freezer.

I'd only been icing for 10 minutes, so no cantaloupes were harmed in...

I don't suppose anything like that has ever happened to any of the rest of you, um, experienced, folks...

Don't tell but I just found the eggs in the very backseat of the car. I haven't been to the store since Wednesday. It's been in the upper nineties everyday this week.

I'm not going to make the quiche I was planning after all.

Ms Farquar

They may be cooked, just be very careful when cracking them.

I'm concerned about them hatching.

I've left potatoes in the trunk for a month. Kept wondering why my car smelled. It was pretty nasty when I discovered them. I've put milk in the freezer and ice cream in the pantry. I even put OJ on my kids cereal before. Yikes! I need help.

I've never done that one but one time I poured myself a cup of coffee and the tried to put the coffee pot in the fridge. Does that count?

One time, back on the farm, mom told us to go out and collect the eggs from the hen house as she needed two more. There was only one egg so she had us look again. We knew we had to find one more egg and that there weren't any more in the hen house so we looked around where some free range hens (read those who escaped from the hen house) had been known to sit. We found two and brought them in.

She cracked the first egg and we were instantly hit by a sulfurous explosion that burned our eyes and nasal passages. I guess that egg had been sitting a little too long!

Double kudos. In other words, I laughed. (I think we should all get an allotment of double kudos to use judiciously)
