I am a Professional Wedding Disc Jockey and I do 60 Wedding's a year with 50 to 900 guests, what I have found is you can save money and have a spectular Wedding & Reception with proper planning! Write down exactly what you want, type of location for your wedding & reception, Minister, Flowers , Food, Cake, Photographer and what type of a DJ do you want? Most Wedding Receptions are like family reunions and with proper planning and keeping it simple you can have wonderful special day!!

If you have a question about a Wedding & Reception I would be glad to answer it!

It is a shame that people don't pay one tenth the attention to a marriage that they do to a wedding. My own feeling is that the wedding party should be held on the fiftieth anniversary of the marriage. Then, there would be something worth celebrating and the couple would probably not get all bent out of shape if the mice who invade the caterer's kitchen are not color co-ordinated with the bride's underpants. Maybe we would be more reserved and considerate if we co-ordinated the bride's outfit with the mice instead!

Maybe we should cut the heads off all the grooms for better marriages.

Ok..this is one of your funnier ones Milt.

I loved my wedding. Me, him, a pastor, a couple of friends standing around a beautiful Christmas tree on New Year's. Cost: $200 or so (dinner).

Hopefully we'll splurge on our 50th wedding anniversary.

My wedding cost about $85 (all wedding clothes, rings, flowers, license, fee). I had two receptions -- one cost about $45 and the other about $200 (numbers are approximate because it was 30 years ago). My honeymoon cost $40 for a week in the Adirondacks. Let's say 3% inflation over the 30 years -- $627 for the wedding and two receptions. Can you do better than that?

The Wedding & Reception set the stage for what is to come! I think that the Bride's & Groom's of today are better prepared for the future!

I think you you need to add about 52% to your math! Inflation has increased much more then 3% per year since you were married!!
