Another prominent figure in Black Culture has left us, the first African American Woman to be elected to Congress from Ohio. On August 19, she was found unconscious in her car, having suffered a cerebral aneurysm. She was taken to an East Cleveland hospital, where she died the next day. We are really loving our media these days too. This is now the second time in as many weeks a news report prematurely announces the death of someone, comedian Bernie Mac being announced days before he actually died. We hope this is the last one. Tubbs Jones was passionate, not afraid to speak her mind, actually responded when her constituents contacted her, and flat out gave a damn. We send our condolences to Tubbs Jones family and constituents.
