My mom and I have a theory that Earth started out life as a penal colony for other beings...much the same way Australia became populated by the English. Really, I can't think we are the only intelligent life in the universe. It's a vast place, and to think we are the only ones is pretty arrogant on our part. That being said, I don't think they're coming here, abducting some in the middle of the night, and performing experiments. I'm sure whatever is out there is much more intelligent than that.
