If The Election Were Today

PLEASE STOP AND READ...

I am grateful for your participation but the voting ended on September 1 as noted below. I will re-open the "polls" at the end of September. If you would like to see the results of the first round of voting you can go to the following discussion board. Thanks.

http://www.tbd.com/group/9/discussion/406077/show

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would you vote for if the presidential election were today?

Notes...

1) Do not explain or justify your vote. Just simply state who you would vote for.

2) You can only vote once.

3) No campaigning or denigrating on here. No complimenting someone else's vote or bashing someone else's vote on here. It is a voting booth only. You're in...you vote...you're out.

4) You can vote by posting here or by sending a PM to me.

5) You can not vote undecided. It must be a vote for a candidate.

6) Voting booths will be open until 10 pm Eastern Time on Sept 1. I will then tabulate the votes and announce a winner on September 2.

Updated notes....

A) You must be a registered member of tbd to be eligible to vote. And as stated in note #2 above you can only vote once. You can not vote on behalf of someone else...meaning you can't say "my cousin Willy, three times removed, is being held captive in a cave on a deserted island but we communicate by carrier pigeon and he said if there's ever a website called tbd and some moron decides to have a presidential vote then make sure and cast my vote for mcbama."

B) You can vote even if you're not a citizen of the United States. However, please let me know if you are or are not a US citizen. I will tally the votes separately and post them separately. If you're a dual citizen or a dual personality, you still only get one vote.

If this exercise is successful (meaning if it ends up being fun for me), then we'll do it again in September and see if the results change.

Have fun and thanks for participating.

You like polls, don't you? What are you using the info for?

Obama.

P. S. The more interesting piece will be to see how you get people to comply with your rules. Good luck on that one! :-) (Oops, I just broke them.)

No hidden agenda. Just doing it for the fun of it and to share the results with the tbd community. And yes, I do like polls...maybe I missed my calling.

"If this exercise is successful"......

How will you know if this exercise is successful? Do you already have parameters for measuring success??

Evidently watching the politics for almost two years now has made me a sceptic(sp)----(cynic?)

None of the above!
