I could tell you what to buy her is i knew what she was into aside from surfing. You might consider a gift certificate to an expensive jewelry store if your trying to really impress her but thats just off the the top of my head. Victoria's secret if your not trying to impress quit that much. Ebay if you have no clue what the hell she wants at all. if you have an idea what she might like than actually go into the jewelry store, slutty underwear store or whatever and buy the item yourself. Most of us like to shop so i gift certificate the day before the sales are going on is a good thing. Just don't give her a grocery store or hardware store gift card. Put the gift card in with a cute little gift just in case she wants an actual gift on Xmas day Posted: Dec 21, 07 11:33am![]() Okay I have two men I have to buy for one is my 17 year old who hates almost everything I give him (especially clothing)... ![]() For your son... hmmm, what about a really cool tshirt. Here are some sites for really unique t's: - Upper Playground (a SF favorite... they feature stuff by cool urban graffiti artists) - Threadless (cheap t's designed and voted on by "the people") - Designs by Humans (for the real designers... amazing one of kind shirts) As for the man... food. If you don't know him very well don't bother with gadgets or sports, just go with food. Who doesn't like to eat? Maybe a basket of cookies, or a box of chocolates, or what my dad likes: Meat Street -- salami, ham, beef jerkey, you get the picture. I'm so happy I don't have to buy any Christmas gifts. I picked it out myself amongst all the others. They looked too "ottery" so I thought you'd go for this one. Let me know what you think, 'k? As for your 17yr old? The one with a bad attitude about your gifts to him? If he lives with you, tell him he gets the gift of room and board until his 18th birthday, and if he doesn't like it, don't let the door bang him on the ass on the way out. I'm serious. Giving gifts to people who despise them (and you) is a waste of your time, money and energy. Get him a nice Christmas card, if you must get him something. If he's not that bad, and is merely a normally anti-social teen, then stick with the card theme. Get him a gift card to Best Buy, Circuit City, any large electronics, music and media store. That way he gets to buy what he wants and you take no grief for getting him something he hates. Surf66: Dude, I learned this when gifting my wife, the Sturdy Wench: Jewelry. You cannot go wrong with the sparklies, and they don't have to be expensive. Stay away from diamonds, et al, and go for the less expensive precious and semi-precious stones like sapphire, tourmaline, opal, pearl. For example, price out a pendant with her birthstone, or some earrings with her birthstone. Also, stay away from mall jewelry stores! They're overpriced, even when they have their biggest sales, and their stock is usually inferior. Find a local, reputable jeweler who'll answer your questions, take time with you, and make you feel your happiness is more important than the cash in your pocket. How about a book? An extra SD card for that digital camera?? Money (cop-out, I know) Aarrgghh! I feel your pain!!!! |
