Windows Vista: Any problems out there?

Unbelievable that Microsoft would release a product so unready for the market. I'll bet Vista has sold more Apples than anything else?

Bugs, nothing but bugs, blue screens errors and reboots. And ofcourse the reason: system incompatibility. And then the last laugh, as Microsoft redirects you to their ,'sorry, no solution' page'. How does the ordinary, non computer savy guy manage?

One thing I can say for Vista is that it is teaching me more about system operations than any thing else I've ever bought into. Is anyone else out there experiencing the same frustrations?

I do not like Vista at all, we can't even watch any videos full screen on the computer with Vista because of the stupid bugs. It will play for a while and then just a black screen and then an error message. Soooo frustrating.

Also, whenever you try to open an Adobe document it gives an incompatibility message, it will open it, but why does this message pop up every time? How could it possibly be incompatible with Adobe for Gawdsakes!

I have XP on the computer I use the most thank god!

I have vista. have the problem for me is figuring out what I actually have and what it can do. Sometimes I notice bells and whistles just so they can say that they have them . Again, I must figure out if it is I who is just not sophisticated enough yet . I am having one problem. I can not figure out how to get windows movie maker to record video. withXP you just plug it in go to the application, windows movie maker and you are ready to record. and then edit. with this thing. it doesnt read the camera. and there is nothing to let me know where what to do. there are catch 22 dead ends. No way out kind of stuff ..

Alot of people are. Moreover, they are buying new products which is compatable with the 'old' technology. I wonder who is going to wind up getting 'bit on the but'.

I am using Vista as I write software for a living. That said I was not an early adopter of a new Microsoft OS for the first time in 26 years! It takes a mean machine to run it normally. That said I do most of my development on Windows 2003 Server and have not flexed Vista that much. The retail market I serve will not ever use Vista and I am speaking for 40,000 retail locations! Windows 7 is the next OS to look for.

If running XP, I would suggest to stay with it and don't upgrade to Vista. Vista runs best on a new machine it seems.

Vista is picky and constantly asks for the administrator, even if you are the admininstrator. If this was a person that did this, both eyes would be battered shut.

I am not a fan of Vista. My son and I chose it on this computer he picked out. We've had to wrestle through the differences and we both came to the conclusion that XP was good enough. Vista it seems, like windows ME, a downgrade.

Oh tell me about it! Never again! I am so frustrated with this .

Needless to say, I'm technical impaired, still, the most common things are malfunctioning.
