Go move your mouse over the logo on Google's front page today and you see "Happy Holidays from Google"! It's Christmas Day. No sane non-Christian could object to a greeting aimed at a very large group of people around the world.
Then there are the print ads for "Holiday Trees". What other religion traditionally uses cone-shaped decorated trees: Wicca?
Please do not reply with that tired what-about-the-other-holidays argument. I am fine with "Happy Holidays" on a non-specific date during the Fall/Winter, but this is Christmas Day.
I say "Happy Chanukkah" to my Jewish friends during that specific period. What's the harm to me? They return the favor on Christmas Day. The same goes for my friends of other religions.
What's the mass media's problem?
