This is not a TBD complaint just a suggestion

Perhaps on the front page it would be good if there were a place to make note of problems that are occurring as the TBDers are TBDing.

An easy spot... where all problems could be put... with updates from the staff regarding actions being taken on the problems. It could be a check box system or perhaps better yet something along the lines of the Q&A, though titled appropriately and in a fixed position on the page.

Perhaps, that would then be the valve that let's a bit of steam off the pressure when everyone starts getting frustrated.

Just thinking.... don't know if it's an option or not.

Ok. Someone sent me the link to the TBD feedback group, so I'm posting it here. http://www.tbd.com/group/270/view

I did realize that there probably was one.

What I was trying to suggest is an easy place to find,

maybe even a quick button to that group so that frustrated TBDers can feel that someone knows and is doing something.

As I stated, I wasn't complaining... I work with computers and software, plus clients each wanting their projects now, so I know how frustration can evolve into wanting to jump ship.

Sometimes, I want to jump ship myself... but problems are usually resolved some sooner, some later. Patience is the key.

Last night I saw a post about a member who'd left, and as I finished a PM to that person, and clicked send - the site went down for an "upgrade." I really wanted to scream, "get Mac servers for the love of the TBD community" when I finally got back on, but I let it go... Until now, I guess. Anyway, while the existence of other groups and threads is helpful information, I think Kathy's suggestion has merit. Whether a status line with a link, or just a link, but something constant and readily available. Of course, we know TBD cares, but some people will feel better (and maybe calmer) if they have a visual reminder too. Thanks!

Hi KA,

The concept is a good one, its a nice idea..But the homepage is not the best place for that i dont think...Non members can see the homepage hense all the nice profile photos displayed there...I dont think it would be good to have that area posted with problems or letting off of steam..It may not have the positive affect that is attractive to new or future members..

Just my thoughts on it...

Design Matters - Macs are the way to go aren't they, DM? I've been copying anything I type before I click submit...

It's a bit of the same concept when I keep working on a project and realize hours have gone by and I haven't even saved once... as soon as I head my cursor over to that save button... pooof... everything is gone. oh yiyi!!!

Calmer is better. And some just need to know they aren't shouting into the wind.

Anthony - I'm laughing so hard I can hardly type. I'm thinking of you envisioning flashing red lights and caution signs. No, that would not be very welcoming. Your thoughts are well taken.

Perhaps, just a button taking the TBDer with an issue directly to where they can state their problem and check back to see any updates as to the possible final solution to said problem.

No bells and whistles. Though if the TBDer pushed the button and bells and whistles went off that might be a plus as they'd think twice before pushing it.

Any other ideas out there? Maybe this should be renamed the TBD round table all solutions and ideas welcome - who knows what might develop with all that creative energy out there in TBDland.

my problem is, that when tbd has traffic problems, i can't even get to the front page. i can access my profile, members, groups, and most everything else, except the front page.
