I'm in. I'll stay awake past 9 pm, say my special prayers I save for special peeps in special need, beee cawse I love LanSr in the most deelightful way (approved by all marital partners). Plus... he has chocolate!!!!

Add me to this, and my time is the same as spuff's so hopefully I can remember every night , but my memory isn't the greatest sometimes. I know, I am praying almost non-stop for my father, so I'll just LanSr at the same times, I might not make it at the same as you but at least my thoughts and prayers will still be added. I know he is in a lot of pain, and that in itself is a heavy battle, without that horrible, awful C word attached. If I could send him some of my oxycodone I would, I hate to hear people suffering needlessly, why aren't they aggressively treating his pain? I hate to ask this here since it was set up for LanSr, but if any of you could pray for my Dad I'd really appreciate it. He also has been in a lot of pain, for over a year now, and finally told his doctor in the spring. ( I don't know why some men won't talk to their doctors even after their wife begs them) he had a colonoscopy this summer and they found a mass in his rectum, the biopsy done then was inconclusive but it did show some precancerous cells. They had him in for a second biopsy and the surgeon said he thinks it's still not cancer, but it has to come out or it will become cancer. Then he said that really he won't know until he opens him up. He said there are only two possible outcomes the 1st that they will have got in time and he can remove it all, and the 2nd that he will find cancer and will have to remove my father's rectum and give him a permanent colostomy bag. We have been on tenderhooks since then waiting to see when his surgery will be. We found out yesterday his surgery is next week, on the 15th. Once again sorry for posting it here, but I thought since they are very similar illnesses, that you might not mind. |  ADVERTISEMENT  |
