Here at TBD we've been coming up with all kinds of cheeky headlines like, "Protect Your TBD Credit: Act now and infuse the site with 700 million new members!"

or

"Support the 700 Million Member Stimulus Package! Invite your friends to TBD"

or

wcbiv, this is for you: "Prevent the TBD Kudo Crash of 2008"

Growth is an important thing for a small company like ours. And so while we joke about calling our new membership drive the "TBD Stimulus Package," the truth is this: We need more new members if we want to keep TBD healthy.

So here is our challenge to you: Invite your friends to TBD. Do it today, do it whenever a discussion, or a question, or a group reminds you of someone who could benefit from talking to a bunch of grown ups like us. Those of you who send out invites will see a new status box on the left of your profile that displays how many people you've invited and how many have accepted. That box, like the profile views feature, will only be visible to you. The members who invite the most new folks each week will get star treatment on our Homepage.

Now go invite some friends to TBD!

I want to invite. But I can't find an "official" place to do that, so I can get my star treatment. Am I missing something obvious?

btw: Pru you HAVE friends. They don't need inviting though. They are already here!

Kind of obvious. The Invite a Friend link at the bottom of every page :).

Yeah, I kinda figured it was gonna be something like that. I drove by the Optometrist 5 times today before I found their office.

But I do feel the tiniest need to defend myself here. I kind of thought with the roll out of such a big plan, the "Invite a Friend" would scream out, as loud as the "friends you have invited - 0" box. You know, bold letters. Letter boxed. Dummy proof. I was gonna complain that my monitor doesn't even see that stuff at the bottom of the page that you referred me to, without scrolling clear down beyond anything interesting.....and besides I haven't worried about company info, or privacy policies since the first day I visited. Then I saw IT. The "invite friends" (ok it IS still just a subdued gray color), but it's THERE! Right IN the box WITH my friends!!! I'll stop now......thanks for listening....

At least you got me to go to the Optometrist. So thanks for that too!

Oh, and one more....thanks Robin, for the fast response!
