Some recording artists (?) entire careers have been spent working on songs as such. Michael Bolton, Journey, Celine Dion, Ambrosia, Pablo Cruise, REO speedwagon, Starland Vocal Band, Christopher Cross, Leo Sayer... There are far too many to mention. Many of the above bring laughter to me and then I have to shut it off. I know many, many people love this stuff. I am not alone in saying it's quite intolerable to certain temperments. (i was 29 when that movie came out, but i feel 16 again everytime i watch it. totally.)
