The Great Sock Mystery

Your missing socks are in my house! I have a pile of only one sock. ;-)

This is one of the mysteries of the universe. Socks have been disappearing since they first invented socks and washing machines. I believe that there is an alternate universe with one legged people and our socks go to them. There can't possibly be another explanation.

As for your mate-less socks, try donating them to a local preschool. They'll make great sock puppets.

YOu brought back a fun memory.

I used to make puppets with my daughters toddler socks when one went missing. She is 21 yr old and saved all those bright colored tiny socks that i sewed faces on.

I think they run off with the panties.

My son and I are starting to read the "Borrowers" series and maybe little people really DO live with us and "borrow" socks, hair clips, thimbles, and spools of thread...

Here's a tip for what to do with the single socks. If it's a good one, you can fill it with uncooked rice. Put it into the microwave for a few minutes you've got a hot pad for your neck or back ;)

I think they will be reissued to us upon our arrival in heaven. Along with several hundred pens and a dozen or so remote controls.

I like the alternate universe theory! Or maybe those beings do not mind wearing mis-matched socks! I must confess that I wear mis-matched socks sometimes when I wear winter boots because no one can see them!
