George Bush has a (roughly) 30% approval rating: that means that 3 out of 10 people actually like him. Why?

Because, as Lincoln said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time...".

because, by simple math, there MUST be people with lower IQ's than Bush, himself...hard to believe...

It's that high?...

That's my thought. It's ALOT of people. I've met some of them in my travels...and they seem relatively sane (but consider the source), and intelligent. I guess it's another one of those Big Mysteries.

Depends on what you are using as a benchmark

A baseball player with a 30% (300) batting average could command the highest salary in his profession.

A movie star who had a 30% hit record at the box office could do the same.

A guy who "scored" with 30% of the girls he hit on would be a Don Juan.

An Astrologer who is right(or even close) 30% of

the time would have a line waiting to see them.

Companies who are 30% right in predicting election outcomes are still in business. etc., etc.,
