Change would be something different than we already have/have had and that is not likely to happen unless it is a negative change -or- done very slowly, I'm afraid. The real changes may not be made with those shouting change.

It's exactly the same every Presidential election. The Democratic candidates all go for each other's throats, and pursue scandal- mongering, rumors and baseless anti-American rhetoric against each other in the primaries. It's called desperation. Dog eat dog. Then, there's a winner of the primaries. Everyone kisses various parts of the other's anatomy and makes up. All is forgotten. Now, they remember: teamwork is needed! And, in November this year it will be a Democratic landslide. The people are sick of the Republicans and want change. But yet t... ![]() Change is something new and the unknown territory that goes with that. Solutions are fixing what's broken Posted: Mar 8, 08 9:05am![]() Obama and Hillary proclaim that they will create CHANGE. They tell us that they know that we want CHANGE!!!! But yet t... ![]() Anita For me it is more about an attitude than any thing tangible. By that I mean the collective attitude not that of the candidates. I believe for that reason Mr. Obama is the one who offers the greatest upside. To many years of the same old s**t, young adults have never known anything but Bush or Clinton administration. I also believe Mr. Obama has the potential to become a generational leader and again we need a good attitude change. Perhaps it can be best described as hope.

But yet t... ![]() What they mean by change is vague on purpose. They know that after the same party has held the White House for eight years, voters want something different. Bush's aproval rating is low (the Democratic Congress's is even lower), so change sounds like a winning slogan. But we already know that both Obama and Clinton, despite their rhetoric, will not withdraw most of the troops in Iraq in the first year. Aides to both have said so publicly. We also know that they will not touch NAFTA even though they ran around Ohio before the primary saying they'd renegotiate the treaty right away; their campaigns have given reassurances to the Canadian government. So, in my opinion, it's all b.s. to make voters feel good. All those people who vote for either one expecting big change, especially all those idealistic young voters, will be disappointed. But yet t... ![]() I also wanted to add that some of us believe Ms Pelosi is the one who needs slapped upside the head. She was given the power and yet I for one am disappointed. What happened to Impeachment or at least hearings. It seems from my point of view the minority has effectly nuttered the majority and if they can do that why didn't the minority do it when the other party had power? But yet t... ![]() With a possible Democratic president, along with a Democratic congress, I HOPE that I will have CHANGE left in my pocket.......Please don't curse me just yet. I admit that the Republicans are just as bad at spending other peoples money. (maybe worse) To me real change would be truly honorable politicians, who keep their word and act on behalf of the good of our country and it's citizens. That way even if we disagree with them, we could trust them, and make reasonable decisions at the ballot box. |
