TBD?

TBD?????

That response and a puzzled look are what I got from twelve desk clerks and three drunken guys at a bar who then suggested that they were the ones I was actually looking for.

I got home from work around a quarter to five, combed the TBD site to see what the final plans were for meeting the Houston chapter of TBD'ers anonymous. I Sent out several PM's to person involved to see if I could get some idea of where and when this party was supposed to be.

The instructions on the thread had been vague and nothing was finalized.

First it was the Hyatt, then it was the Marriott...then it was a restaurant or something. All I knew it was in the area of the airport and a Mall we have here called Greenspoint.

I showered and dressed.

I checked my e-mail. I checked the group site.

I thought about eating something because today's business lunch turned out to be much more business than lunch.

I didn't eat, surely I would be able to get some food with the TBD'ers.

I checked my e-mail. I checked the site.

Still no instructions.

I took a little nap.

I checked my e-mail. I checked the website.

No news.

I went out and painted the garage.

I checked the site.

Nothing.

Finally, I grabbed my keys and sat in bumper to bumper traffic on the yellow-striped road trying to make my way across town to the Emerald Mall by the airport.

There are three Marriotts and one Hyatt in the Greenspoint/airport area. I checked all of them. I even checked at one hotel called the Crown Plaza...even though I knew they wouldn't be there. They had no messages from, or records of, anyone named "Gator Girl" or "SweetmotherofMars".

I walked through the restaurant/bars at the Marriotts. No one looked familiar. Surely if they'd seen someone that looked like me, wearing all red with black leather fishnet boots, they'd have jumped up and yelled, "TBD"!

It didn't happen.

By then I was tired. I was also quite hungry.

I drove home to see what I could find to eat there.

Marmite...yummy.

You should have bought a scanner from one of those infomercial you don't see on the tv you don't have, cause a group like those tbders now in Houston could surely end up on cops oh but you won't be able to see that either.

The clerk at the Hyatt found a "Gayle" listed in Rm 104. We called.

No answer.

I think they were hiding.

Well maybe this way I'll get to go to the one on the West coast.

If I can't find them there, I'm going to be really ticked!
