Very big news that we've been keeping to ourselves for a while. Our Community Guide, Betty Ray, will be going on maternity leave for a few months. Her last day here will be March 28.

Kat Brennan, (member name akabukowski) has been working with Betty, and will be taking over as Community Manager. Like Betty, she will answer your questions and take your suggestions and make sure the TBD team gets your feedback. Kat founded one of our most active groups here, TWG, and was the natural choice to recruit when Betty's dream of motherhood became reality. (We won't discuss the nightmare of pregnancy; Betty shares my view that glowing pregnant women are a myth.)

Please give Kat a warm welcome, and know that Betty will be back when she’s had a chance to figure out what hit her. :) She had thought about starting a Pregnant Over 40 group but the race between the size of her stomach and the size of the TBD community has kept her more than fully occupied!

Betty told me to describe her as "our longtime Community Guide" but in fact she is our only Community Guide -- who started here before we had a community. Betty is largely responsible for setting the tone: the fun, supportive and smart nature of the TBD experience owes a lot to her (as well as to our amazing members).
