Why do Americans think the way they do? Why do they criticize others?

Remember you're talking about Americans . We lead the modern world in disbelieving evolution and have more felons per capita than any nation on Earth . Ignorance and racism is what modern USA is all about .

As for the Muslim question I'm afraid I watched Little Mosque on the Prairie instead of reading the Koran. The whole 23 virgins in paradise thing reminds me of Mormonism . Both religions seem to have been invented without a grasp of spiritual/ metaphysical concepts .Maybe most believers just don't go in for the metaphors. Also it seems like the world wide Muslim community gets more upset about pictures of the prophet than murder in Allah's name . It's hard for Americans to relate to these values .

Also there's the fact that religious fanatics from the Middle East brought down the first world wide corrupt republic turned empire (Rome) . As members of the second , we must be aware that history repeats .

I think you've been paying attention to the wrong people. TERRORISTS are responsible for 9/11. Arabs, Muslims, etc are an entirely different subject and most of us acknowledge that. We KNOW that you can't judge a people. You can only judge individuals.

I believe in holding people responsible for their actions. INDIVIDUALS have committed atrocities throughout history. There is no race or nationality that doesn't have some sort of evil act in it's history. So we must keep our focus on punishing the individuals involved, while recognizing that they are in the minority of whatever nation/culture/belief they come from.

Keep in mind, my Arab friend, that over 40% of the American population are Fundamentalist Christians that believe the world was created in 7 days, woman was created from Adam's rib, and that Armageddon - the war against Christians and Muslims - will be the end of the earth. This is, in fact, what our President believes.

Also keep in mind that Americans are far more hated in the Arab world, regardless of their religious beliefs, than Muslims are in America. We're not perfect, but most of us in this country still believe in freedom of religion. Even today, it's highly unlikely that a band of fundamentalist Christians would attack a mosque. They're more likely to attack a Planned Parenthood clinic.

If you're a Muslim truly looking for freedom to worship in the fashion you please, I, for one, believe you've come to the right place.

F*%*K what the president thinks!! Bush has no idea about the existence of the universe...etc. He decided to attack Iraq for no reason and take over them and their people, and your here saying that this is RIGHT? You got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!

He has absolutely no business with other countries. However,because of him many people are suffering and many innocent lives are being lost.

I read on the news that he said the only reason why he did that is because he wants "SECURITY". Yeah right! There is far more to it.
