Global Warming; Are We Being Conned?

By who?

is it the cars we drive,pollution from factories,is it water pollution,air pollution,is it cutting down rain forrest, all related to man or is it related to global warming

Do you think you are being conned by someone or a group regarding the climate? What would be the motivation for the con?

Esteemed scientists now believe that the global warming phenomenon is now an over exaggerated myth, in an attempt by western governments to exert more control over their people. Global warming is a naturally occurring phenomenon, which occurs every few thousand years.

do you refer to the scientists with backing from Exxon Mobile?

Exxon–Mobil has announced that they are no longer going to provide funding for many of these organizations that they were providing to manufacture this false controversy. This was actually detailed in an extensive report by the Union of Concerned Scientists that was issued about a month ago, where they detailed all of the unfortunate ways that Exxon–Mobil had been funding to cloud the public understanding of the science.

Milton, did you know that even many naysayers are now recognizing the validity of the data out there? I think perhaps where the issue gets clouded is if someone is laying all the blame for climate change on humans. Human activity has contributed to a portion of it just like humans have contributed to pollution (air, water, and land) and other environmental factors. When you look at cases such as the Love Canal there was an unwillingness to look at data then too. I think that for some it is simply too daunting to realize that humans impact the environment and that some adjustments may be necessary. However, certainly natural cycles play a role as well. Not a real black and white issue. I am very proud of the way John McCain is speaking out on the issue now.
