Besides those that used their real names...I'm curious on the others....sole searcher, tall dwarf, froggy, fromz, spuff, D2, 1ace, 2 wheel will, 2coolhand, 727 bow...and the list goes on.

Ok I'll stop with the names...but care to share with the curious one how you chose yours?

Spirited Filly ..origin of the nickname

I was dating a man who owns and trains thoroughbred races horses. After several dates, I noticed him sitting back, smiling a funny little smile at me. I asked what was the look for. He said I reminded him of the yearling fillies. Headstrong, spirited and full of life.

The following morning, we were at the yearling pasture as the sun rose. It was there, I learned that there is nothing more beautiful than watching a yearling gleefully charging headlong down a field, kicking her heels, tossing her head, ... enjoying the fresh dawn before her.

To be compared to such a beautiful creature is a lovely sentiment.

So, I use Spiritedfilly. It suits me.

If I sign off, I add a little tail behind the y. That’s me, charging headlong through my life.

spuff did you see the new zumba infomercial stuff I posted..I'm taking a 2 day instructor workshop from the gal in the blue with super curly hair (she was on the Today Show). She has three kids...I'm duly impressed. And Zumba class does make me feel wonderfully sexy!

My sister is about your height and just as adorable as you are.

So..have you been to the Kentucky Derby? It's on my list of things to do...just to wear the hat and drink Mint Juleps.

Just watched it. thanks for sharing it.

Yes, I admit after the first class...I got my groove back (not that I lost it). I felt like it put a pep in my step. It was fun, sexy and I figured....ah...this explains the latin lover...it's all in the hips. Turned to this woman I know & said...I think I need a cold shower. She responded...OMG! I was thinking the same thing. I just love the energy & the mix of latin, african and belly dancing. You can probably explain it better but it's tons of fun.

Zumba,

YES!! Several times. Stands and Infield. Both you should experience. Infield can be CRAZY, but fun. The stand and private boxes, not as wild, but certainly just as fun.

When you go, don't forget that hat! All the ladies wear hats, LOL well some in the infield might not remember where they left theirs.

Mint juleps, an acquired taste. To me, YUCK!

Derby Pie! YUM, rather like pecan pie with chocolate chips. Served warm.

Open faced Hot Browns, OMG YUM!

If you can get to the paddock, you will be amazed at the sheer size and beauty of the horses before you. Their personalities show themselves even in the paddock. Always fun.

I sure hope you get to experience the Derby! First Saturday in May. hehehe I already marked my calendar!
