I can't be the only person around here who has been holding her breath since they canceled the Golden Globe awards (my absolute favorite award show!). So the writer's strike is officially over (fingers crossed that the writers get what they are asking for!) and I'm giddy with the news that the Oscars are officially on.
Okay, so which movies did you see? (I only saw Atonement and No Country for Old Men) Who do you hope wins?
My picks:
Best actor: I would LOVE to see Johnny Depp win, but I know it will go to Daniel Day Lewis
Best supporting actor: Javier for sure
Best actress: I absolutely love Julie Christie (didn't see any of the nominated performances so just going with who I like the best)
Best supporting actress: again, didn't see any of these ladies... but sure Ruby Dee will win
Best picture: No Country for Old Men

Have seen Juno, No Country For Old Men and scheduled to see Atonement on Friday. Thought There Will Be Blood would be a nice Valentine's date flick?
