I sat down and read every one. Such satisfying stories...congratulations to each of you. Pulling Hair...I could see those kids poking at each other. Their Place...could see the blanket and the tree with their initials. Maxie's Ride...loved the clankity-clank. The Futon...could hear her calling to cancel the cable. Testament...could see the sparkly eye patch and taste the merlot.

Seriously, congratulations to Westerly, Ashlander, TG and JSutton. So very well done! We five are only the tip of the iceberg in TWG. I believe the future is bright for all who make a committed effort.

I am so shocked and pleasantly surprised. But most of all, thankful to all of you for putting up with me. The encouragement this group of souls provides to a wannabe writer is phenomenal.

I was so impressed with the quality of the writing on all of these. I'm glad I didn't have to make a decision on these or the ones not chosen, which I'm sure were equally as good.

Another thing that struck me was how many of these authors used a point of view not their own -- there were two women using a male point of view and one man using a female point of view. How bold!

I misspoke above -- I thought JSutton was a man, but I've deduced from her profile that she's a woman. It's still a bold move to take the point of view of the opposite sex.
