I just wanted to say hi to all of you writers out there:)
I live in NJ just outside of Philly and I write (theoretically). I've been without words for a few months.
I am writing a non-fiction book for oh lets say the past two years...
I have had some poetry published in print and online journals.
I have a few pieces of poetry I could post if anyone is interested.
Out of curiosity, I was wondering what the rules are about using *colorful* language in the writing that is posted?
I am a big fan of dirty words:)
Here is something small that I love from Bukowski:
As Poems Go...
as the poems go into the thousands you
realize that you've created very
little.

Hey, christine08003; welcome. Please take some time to check out all that's here. You'll find fiction, nonfiction, essays and poetry, among other things. We're kind of a paranormal group, so to speak...
As for colorful language, please check the community guidelines - link: http://www.tbd.com/view/page.basic/community_guidelines
We have a little something called 4 Lines/4 Poems For Today established by TraumaGoddess that helps many warm up, get the juices flowing.
To post separately, you can start a discussion. If you have a lot you want to share, you may consider setting up the discussion to include all your offerings in a given discipline (poems, stories, etc.).
Many, including myself, occasionally post poems in the "daily" discussions - Two Days in TWG, Two More Days in TWG and TWG Long Weekend.
We just ended a writing event (What is This Thing Called Evil?) in which Day 6 includes posts of poems or songs about evil. You are welcome to post there as well if you like.
There is also TWG: TIer II available for posting works and more formal feedback.
Oh, and Bmichael will no doubt be in touch some time soon about the many extras he offers, including literary insurance, BS Blocker and more.
Did I mention the parking fees...?

...oh no you don't, lostmutt!
Artfully dodged (pun intended)the 'dirty word' inquiry, didn't ya?
Never mind, I'll take it from here, pal.
Ahem!
Hi Christine and welcome to TWG and Tier II!
Yes the group is interested in your poetry (and anything else you'd like to submit - please enhance us!)
Now, about those dirty words...
As the newly, self - appointed Director of Dirty Words (DOD), please PM to me the specific words you intend to use so that I can check them against the "list". Also, please feel free to include any photographs, original artwork. woodcuts, etc, in case there's anything that I might be unfamiliar with.(wink).
Welcome!

Dear Director of Dirty Words:),
I don't have any particular dirty words in mind, just doing a general check just in case.
Thank you for the welcome.
