Just went to the ImPromptu page to comment on the subject, and was sternly warned away with whips and German Shepherds (grrrrrrrrrrr), so will give my two cents here!

First, thanks to LostMutt for all the work he undoubtedly has put into this exercise. I'm looking forward to flexing my so-called creative writing muscles!

Secondly, am I the only woman in the world who is completely,totally, absolutely indifferent to shoes and shopping?

Oooooh, nice work appearing in ImPromptu - looks like lostmutt and westerly shared an inspiration.

Most of my favorite shoes have been given to me for free - from pricey Birkenstocks, to plain black Reeboks with no fluffy bells and whistles to the real red shoes I used as my subject (way fictionalized, though). Me? I hate to shop - for anything.

I swear I didn't siphon his brain out. I swear!

There have been times when lostmutt and I shared the same idea, so now we know clearly he's doing the thought stealing!

Funny you should mention it, Otter, but before I locked into my story line, there was one kicking around a girl with pleasant feet who preferred barefoot to heeled and how sad her shoes were without her.
